A PPC campaign consists of acquiring traffic / visitors through advertising space on other websites. Every visitor who comes to your page through your ad will cost a set amount of money. The traffic  from PPC campaigns is very varied and can have a variety of sources. The results of such campaigns appear almost instantly, from the time your ad was posted on other sites (directories, search engines – Google Adwords as an example– sites, presentations, etc.). Once the campaign stops (traffic bills are not payed), the effect stops instantly.

 

A good marketing plan always helps. Split your campaigns in subcampaigns and subgroups, and you will benefit from better results. Do not underestimate the need of a quality landing page, and build the right kind of landing page that fits your products and services. A frontpage/home page yield is much lower then a custom built landing page, since the information is much broad then a targeted landing page.

The landing page will usually display directed sales copy that is a logical extension of the advertisement or link. Landing pages are often linked to from social media, email campaigns or search engine marketing campaigns in order to enhance the effectiveness of the advertisements. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales leads. By analyzing activity generated by the linked URL, marketers can use click-through rates and Conversion rate to determine the success of an advertisement.
